This year, we’re celebrating our 165th birthday by reflecting on our legacy. From helping rebuild after the Great Chicago Fire, to weathering the Great Depression, to fighting for fair housing — for five generations, Baird & Warner has been a part of building the beautiful Chicagoland we call home today.
Not only has our long history provided us with deep roots in the community, it’s also given us experience and expertise no other brokerage can offer. We know these communities better than anyone else — actually helped build some of them — and we’ve learned how to adapt and innovate to meet the needs of our customers. We’re a company of so many firsts: the country’s first real estate firm, the first to create a listings book in the 1920s, and in the ‘90s, the first to put properties online to make searching for homes easier.
And starting thirty years ago, we created Key Mortgage Services and Baird & Warner Title Services to give homebuyers and sellers a reliable partner who shares our values. We knew such a holistic approach would provide our customers the benefits of a one-stop shop real estate experience, where they have a knowledgeable broker and a team of professionals on their side to handle every aspect of their transaction so they can rest easier.
As Illinois’ largest and fiercely independent family-owned real estate services company, we’re proud of what we’ve accomplished and the positive impact we’ve made over the last 165 years. But we’re most proud of our legacy of empowering people to achieve their real estate goals and live their dreams.
